Vintage Greek Bouzouki Music Box - Plays “Never on Sunday”

This vintage Greek bouzouki mechanical music box, plays "Never on Sunday" when wound up. It dates to approximately the 1960s–1970s. Crafted in wood with a rounded bowl back, decorative faux fretboard, ivory-tone tuning pegs, and intricate red, gold, and white floral ornamentation. A wonderful example of mid-century Greek souvenir and folk-art design. Displays beautifully as a decorative object and musical collectible. 

The mechanical music box is in working condition and plays “Never on Sunday,” the iconic Greek melody closely associated with mid-century Greek culture and cinema.
